What a day at Ironman Canada this past weekend, and to come home with 7th on Ironman debut was even better. The full distance has always terrified me since I started this sport, but I was always fascinated by the one day event. 

With only 6 weeks to prepare for this race I trained the most I ever had. The physical and mental prep leading into this race was spot on. 

I can’t thank the people around me enough. I would not have been able to get here without [@cheethamcoaching](https://www.instagram.com/cheethamcoaching/?ref=grantgiles.com.au) and [@grantdavidgiles](https://www.instagram.com/grantdavidgiles/?ref=grantgiles.com.au) It’s so important to surround yourself with a team that believes in you and that you trust. I’m pleased to say I have exactly that.
