Success belongs to the consistent, not the talented. And so does the future!
Talent can only take you to the doorstep. If you’re not consistent with it, you’ll start focusing on other people’s lack of talent instead of your own progress. Resentment will creep in, choking the oxygen from your gift. That’s when you start seeing it as a curse.
But it’s not. It’s a gift. You honor that gift by showing up for it. If talent isn’t your strong suit, then your work ethic has to outweigh the shortfall. But what is talent, really?
Real talent is the ability to end this day like yesterday never happened and tomorrow isn’t coming.
Real talent is staying whole, unbroken, and grounded in the here and now….and refusing to leave it.
That’s the real definition of consistency…Here’s the thing:
We’re all talented. We’re fields of awareness and possibility, only as limited as we believe.
So take that possibility and turn it into probability. Simplify. Narrow it down to the lowest common denominator.
Just show up for yourself. Leave everything and everyone else alone. Stop the endless comparisons.
Talent isn’t talent until it’s exercised.Desire trumps talent every time. The world is full of talented people who didn’t….and grinders who did.
Stop hinging your salvation on tomorrow and your torment on yesterday. Neither of them exist.
It’s not reality that creates your belief…..it’s belief that creates your reality. Take this moment and be dead to what isn’t right now.
How simple it is. How hard it is to do.
The old saying is still true: you gotta want it.
Gilesy.
