Making up for missed sessions? Bad idea!
You miss some sessions, have a bad week…so you push to make them up, we’ve all done it right?
Feels somewhat fulfilling to make up for the lost time doesn’t it? Until you experience the pushes pushback…
There’s a wave you can’t see in behind this making up for lost time philosophy. In the following weeks that fatigue wave is going to come through and wipe out everything you are doing. Then you are going to repeat the pattern, it’s a ricochet from a bullet you fired when you tried to make up for what you didn’t do.
Heres the thing: you're not making up for lost sessions, you are adding to what you are doing right now through anxiety and creating a mess of the future.
Nothing gets served; the past is over you can’t change it….the present is overloaded with compression and stress, the future is stunted by the fact that you are trying to top load the present.
If your so busy ruminating on what you lost, your going to lose connection to what you are doing now and then wonder why the prep didn't work when the result doesn’t manifest.
Of course it doesn’t manifest, you have no trust in what you are doing now and that’s really all that matters.
All you have to do to stop this cycle is to let go of what you didn’t get done.
