Instead… break bread with it. Sit down with the resistance. With the suck. Have it out.

Train your body for a response, not a reaction.
You’ll never overcome the enormity of the challenge by trying to think your way past it.

Instead… break bread with it.
Sit down with the resistance. With the suck.
Have it out.

Ask it straight up:

“What do you need from me?”

When it answers — I need your attention, your presence — don’t run.
Ask yourself:

“What’s the payoff in this resistance?”

There’s always a payoff.
Some hidden reason you keep pulling yourself out of the moment.

It might be:

• Safety
• Risk
• Fear of being seen
• Fear of losing
• Fear of winning

Get curious.
Make peace with what you find.
See it. Own it. Feel it.
No assumptions. No judgment.
Just brutal, tender presence.

Now you’re dragging what the mind hides into the light.
And guess what?

Those thoughts can’t hurt you.
Neither can the suck.

Most fear isn’t real — it’s fear of fear.
An incredible protector,
but one without a filter if you’re not paying attention.

It’ll keep you miserably safe…
and quietly rob you blind of your potential.

You’ll blame the course. The conditions. The training. Your fitness.
But none of that is true.

Only when you stop bargaining with reality
do you realise — it can work for you, not against you.

So get to know your mind — intimately.
See that it’s just one more protective layer.

And gently — again and again —
bring your presence back to the training.
Back to your body.
Back to the breath.
Back to the beat of your feet.

Now you’re here.
Not out there. Not lost in thought.

And remember —
If you don’t mind…

it don’t matter.
