No Quarter

No Quarter

Mental Skills

You gotta reconnect with your refusal to make yourself a mental victim over and over again. You have to stay out of that rabbit hole.

Mental toughness isn’t about thinking, it’s an experience that you feel.

Fortitude, grit, perseverance, tenacity, endurance, determination, resolve and steadfastness.

You develop those through your commitment to yourself.

Dedication, devotion, obligation, loyalty, pledge, promise, faithfulness, adherence and responsibility. So no quarter is given to shitty stories, because victimhood creates victims.

Adaption is an amalgam of commitment to the mental and physical flow. Mental toughness is a requirement because adaption is made of your willingness to shift.

Want different? Do different!

This is adaption in process:

Adjustment, modification, transformation, alteration, change, revision, adaptability, flexibility and conversion.

In this process, you are going to find all the places you are stuck.

You are going to get triggered, frustrated, challenged and shit is going to get messy.

We’ve all been programmed by mental prediction. You are going to look for something you can trust, routine, predictability and safety in a process that is asking for pure acceptance and your willingness to change.

You gotta reconnect with your refusal to make yourself a mental victim over and over again. You have to stay out of that rabbit hole.

This doesn’t mean you have to like what’s happening, you just have to stay out of the story. Stay in your body through the shifting dynamic that the performance requires of you.

Performance is an acceptance of the unacceptable.

You have to come out of the story and stay here in flow with the shifting nature of the process.

This is what excellence is made of.

Mental toughness is just the present moment accepted.

Growth then, is the decision to accept the unacceptable and let it carry you beyond it.
